Albany Police Officer Michael Geraci suspended without pay

ALBANY, NY (NEWS10) – Albany Police Officer Michael Geraci Jr. has been suspended without pay for his role in a fight between him and multiple children on Halloween.

Geraci Jr’s attorney says Geraci was home in Colonie on Halloween when he heard several bangs against his house.

Somebody who was walking their dog pointed Geraci in the direction of a group of young boys who allegedly threw something towards his home.

It is unknown what happened afterwards, but Geraci’s attorney said supposedly there was contact between Geraci and the group of reported vandals.

Geraci was first placed on administrative duties but last week was suspended thirty days without pay.

He has not been charged with any crime.
