Kokopellis owner found not guilty in shooting

TROY, NY (NEWS10) – The owner of Kokopellis learned his fate after standing trial for assault and weapons charges that stemmed from a shooting at his own bar back in January.

Joseph Glick was found not guilty of first degree assault and weapons possession, which are both felony counts, after a week-long trial.

Prosecutors alleged that Glick shot a man during a party at the bar in January.

Glick claimed his gun fired accidentally. He said he tried to move the weapon because it felt uncomfortable and it misfired.

Kokopelli’s has been closed since New Year’s Eve.
