ALBANY, NY (NEWS 10) – Students at the University at Albany held a solidarity rally Thursday to protest the treatment of black students across the nation.
There have been several similar rallys across the nation this week.
The rallys stem from a University of Missouri demonstration that led to the resignation of that colleges president.
The Missouri case is bringing attention to issues that have been simmering amid a national discussion of race relations in America. Many students have said colleges can be inhospitable to black students, calling for more diversity among students and faculty.
