ALBANY, N.Y. (AP) — Two Christmas trees will begin making their journey to the state Capitol for the holiday season.
A blue spruce in Schenectady will be cut down and transported Thursday to the Empire State Plaza across from the capitol in Albany. A second blue spruce from Mechanicville in Saratoga County will head to the East Capitol Park on Friday.
Both holiday trees are donated.
The official tree lightings will take place Dec. 6.
