RENSSELAER, N.Y. (NEWS10) – The Rensselaer County Legislature will be meeting on Tuesday.
One of the big topics of discussion will be a bill meant to protect the County’s drinking water wells. A version of the bill was voted down last month, with legislators saying it didn’t go far enough to protect wells from the potential effects of a natural gas pipeline.
Members of the community are being asked to come and weigh in on the bill, known as the drinking water protection act.
It is unknown if the legislature will vote on the bill Tuesday night.
