Officials: Man struck and killed by the Vermonter

BRATTLEBORO, V.T. (NEWS10) – Officials say a man was struck and killed by a train Sunday afternoon.

Police say the incident happened around 1:06 p.m. Sunday. The train #57, which is the Vermonter, was traveling from St. Albans to Washington D.C.

There were approximately 45 passengers were on board and none of them suffered injuries while onboard.

The train was delayed for 46 minutes for investigation and then was able to get back up and running. The identity of the man is unknown at this time.
