Jimmer Fredette selected number 2 by the Westchester Knicks

WHITE PLAINS, NY (NEWS10) – Former BYU standout and Glens Falls star Jimmer Fredette is taking his talents to White Plains.

Just ten days after being released from the San Antonio Spurs, the Westchester Knicks selected Fredette number two overall in the NBA Development League’s draft Saturday.

Even though he won’t be starting for the New York Knicks right now, he is back playing basketball in his home state.

Fredette, a former NBA lottery draft pick and 2011 National Player of the Year and NCAA scoring champ with BYU, has struggled to find a steady home in the pros.

Since being drafted by the Sacramento Kings back in 2011 and playing three years there, he has spent a year with the Chicago Bulls and a year with the New Orleans Pelicans.
