NEW YORK (NEWS10) – Sheldon Silver will head to trial next week.
Jury selection is scheduled to start Monday for the former State Assembly Speaker.
Silver was arrested in January, accused of exploiting his power to collect $4 million in kickbacks.
Silver has pleaded not-guilty to the corruption charges against him. He resigned his leadership post, but he still holds his legislative seat while he fights the charges.
He has said all along that he will be vindicated.
