Twenty-one pit bulls up for adoption at Pittie-Palooza

MENANDS, N.Y. (NEWS10) – The Mohawk Hudson Humane Society is hosting its sixth annual Pittie-Palooza adoption festival Saturday afternoon to celebrate National Pitbull Awareness Day.

The event will take place at the Humane Society, 3 Oakland Avenue on Saturday, October 24.

The Society is offering discounted adoption fees for all pit bulls, a free microchip for every pit bull adopted during the event, a free leash and collar and a treat-filled goodie bag.

All dogs ready for adoption have been spayed or neutered, tested for heartworm, vaccinated for rabies and distemper and will go home with 30 days of pet insurance.

11:30 a.m.           Pit Bull Presentation

12 p.m.                 Tour of the Shelter

12:30 p.m.           STAR Program Presentation

1 p.m.                   Agility with Becky

2 p.m.                   Therapy Dog Presentation with Mariesa

2 p.m.                   Basic Manners with Shawna

3 p.m.                   Scent with Mariesa

3 p.m.                   Pit Bull Presentation

3:30 p.m.             Tour of the Shelter
