Green living event kicks off with Capital Region businesses

GUILDERLAND, N.Y. (NEWS10) — Guilderland’s Central School District’s 10th recycling and re-use extravaganza kicks off Saturday morning.

Albany County Executive Daniel McCoy is using the event to highlight Capital Region businesses that are living green.

McCoy will be at Farnesworth Middle School highlighting local businesses that are working hard to reduce, reuse and recycle.

The event will be held from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Farnsworth Middle School, 6072 State Farm Road.

Parking is available at the school and a free shuttle service is being offered if people would like to park at the Guilderland Water District on State Farm Road or behind the Trustco Bank at Star Plaza.
