Troy man charged for trying to cover up welfare fraud

TROY, N.Y. (NEWS10) – A Rensselaer County supervising fraud investigator accused of trying to cover up fraud was arraigned in court on Thursday.

According to police, Emanuel Ned made up witness interviews to cover for a Troy housing official who was being investigated for welfare fraud.

Ned has been charged with offering a false instrument for filing, which is a felony.
