TALLADEGA, Ala. (NEWS10) – NASCAR cars are covered in decals for their many sponsors, but this weekend, one car will be racing with a familiar name behind it.
J.J. Yeley drives the number 26 Toyota Camry in NASCAR. When he gets in his car to race the campingworld.com 500 in Talladega, a local company will be with him.
Adirondack Tree Surgeons of Gansevoort is not a primary sponsor of Yeley’s number 26. The company is a family owned business that’s been locally operated for 30 years.
They cut down trees, and now they’re hoping to help number 26 cut through the racing competition.
“My dad started it out of the back of a 1968 Oldsmobile car with a garden hose and an Agway chainsaw, and he worked his way up to a huge successful business and to see it advertised on a NASCAR with the big guys is incredible,” Judy Viger with Adirondack Tree Surgeons said.
The fun in Talladega starts on Friday with racing on Saturday and Sunday.
