WASHINGTON, D.C. (NEWS10) – Presidential hopeful Hillary Clinton will give a highly anticipated testimony Thursday on the 2012 deadly attack on Americans in Benghazi, Libya.

Her testimony is part of an investigation that began 17 months ago. One issue that will be brought up surrounds requests for additional security in Benghazi in the weeks before the attack.

“We have learned through e-mails and through documents that there were hundreds of mentions about security incidents particularly in 2012. So we have questions for the secretary about what she did with respect to the security requests,” said susan brooks, member of the house.

Clinton has publicly said she was unaware of those requests.

It remains unclear if the lengthy and expensive probe into Benghazi has actually uncovered new details about the attack itself.
