ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) – State University of New York officials and downtown Albany business leaders will gather Monday morning to celebrate the recently renovated SUNY Plaza front lawn and main entrance.
SUNY Chancellor Nancy L. Zimpher will join in the ribbon cutting at the plaza at 353 Broadway at 10:30 a.m.
The celebration kicks off a year-long series of events to mark the System Administration building’s centennial anniversary.
The State University of New York is the largest comprehensive university system in the United States, and educates nearly 460,000 students in more than 7,500 degree and certificate programs on 64 college and university campuses, and online.
There are more than 3 million SUNY alumni worldwide.
