COLONIE, N.Y. (NEWS10) – The scene in Colonie where an underground fire broke out early Monday has been cleared.
The fire caused at least three explosions at a manhole on Locus Park and Jupiter Lane near Central Ave. Witnesses say the cover went up three ft. in the air.
The preliminary investigation suggests the fire was caused by bad underground cables. So far, no power has been affected.
