GLOVERSVILLE, N.Y. (NEWS10) – The man accused of using a taser while trying to rob someone he met to complete a Craigslist deal was back in court on Monday.
Officials say 27-year-old Jason Insogna, was arrested Tuesday after police say he fled the scene of the attempted robbery. According to police, the victim, a 71-year-old man, thought he was meeting Insogna in Gloversville to pay a deposit on a car, he thought he was buying from Isogna.
Instead he was tased. An off duty police officer was in the area, and stopped the attack.
His accomplice, Rondalynn Murray was in Gloversville City Court along with Isogna for a control hearing. Their cases were adjourned till October 21 for Murray and October 26 for Insogna.
They were remanded back to the Fulton County Jail.
