TROY, N.Y. (AP) — Police say four officers have been injured after trying to break up a fight between two people outside an upstate New York club.
Police say they were attempting to break up the confrontation at a downtown Troy jazz club around 2:30 a.m. Sunday when a group of people approached them.
When police tried to take some of them into custody, it turned into a brawl. Police say one suspect took a baton away from an officer.
Police say one officer was injured when he struck his head on a windowsill and another suffered a broken finger. All four injured officers were treated at a local hospital and released.
Four people were arrested and charged with disorderly conduct and several other offenses. They were arraigned Sunday morning in Troy City Court.
