CLIFTON PARK, N.Y. (NEWS10) – Police say they attempted to stop a car for speeding on the Northway and were brought on a pursuit.
Officials say on October 10, State Police in Clifton Park attempted to stop a vehicle for speeding on the Northway in Clifton Park. The vehicle sped off, and was eventually located stopped at exit 11 with mechanical problems.
The driver fled into the woods, and was not located that night.
Through an investigation 30-year-old Jayson Hooks from Schenectady, was identified. A Warrant was obtained for his arrest from Clifton Park Court.
On October 16, Hooks was stopped in Albany by SUNY Police on an unrelated matter. He was turned over to the State Police and charged with Unlawfully Fleeing a Police Officer, and numerous traffic offenses. He was remanded to Saratoga County Jail after failing to post bail.
