ALBANY, NY – A 22-year-old Albany man was charged with handgun possession following a traffic stop on Philip Street.
On Thursday, October 15 at approximately 4:45 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of Philip Street and Warren Street as part of an ongoing investigation. Police say Lequan Germon, a passenger inside the vehicle, was found to be in possession of a loaded .357 caliber handgun and was taken into custody.
Officials say Germon was charged with Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the second and third degree.
He was arraigned in the Albany City Criminal Court and remanded to the Albany County Jail.
