ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) — The New York Thruway Authority says the final phase of construction on Thruway I-90 between Exit 26 (Schenectady – I-890 & NY Route 5) and Exit 27 (Amsterdam – NY Route 30).
The eastbound lane will be closed from Tuesday, October 13 at 6:00 a.m. until Friday, October 16 at 6:00 p.m. for the construction of an underground drainage structure replacement project.
Eastbound traffic on the Thruway will be limited to the left lane. Motorists should expect minor-to-moderate delays during peak morning and evening travel times, and should seek alternate routes if possible.
Variable-message signs (VMS) will be activated to alert motorists of the change in lane configuration.
In case of inclement weather, work may be postponed.
