Several injured in Colonie crash

COLONIE, N.Y. (NEWS10) –  Police are investigating a car crash that occurred Saturday morning at approximately 4:20 a.m. on Route 9 near the intersection of Old Niskayuna Rd in Loudonville.

A Jeep Cherokee being operated by 27-year-old Charles Durr of Albany struck a Ford Pick-up truck operated by 45-year-old Thomas Doring of Latham.

Members of the Colonie Police Traffic Safety Unit responded to the scene to investigate the crash, resulting in a temporary road closure along Route 9 in the area of Crumitie Road and Menands Road.

All four passengers of the Grand Cherokee were transported to Albany Medical Center for injuries related to the crash.

The driver of the pick-up truck was transported to Albany Memorial Hospital for medical treatment.

The investigation is still ongoing. Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact the Colonie Police Traffic Safety Unit at 783-2744.
