October 31: The Mount hosts Halloween events for all ages

LENOX, M.A. (NEWS10) — Come to the Mount to experience for yourself hot spots of paranormal activity at one of their many events open to the public.

The Mount at the Edith Wharton cultural center will celebrate Halloween with events and programs for all ages on October 31.

It starts with creaking floors and slamming doors, fading footsteps down empty halls and words whispered in the wind. Sensations and shadows follow. A feeling of being watched, a tap on the shoulder, spectral shapes crouched in the corner or gathered in front of fireplaces long gone cold.

These are just a few of the experiences that visitors have reported after attending events at the Mount, Edith Wharton’s hundred-year-old isolated retreat in the dark hills of the Berkshires. Find out for yourself if these occurrences were tricks of the imagination or the result of paranormal activity.
