Rensselaer Co. residents ask governor to rid pipeline project

RENSSELAER, N.Y. (NEWS10) – People in Rensselaer County, frustrated with the proposed northeast energy direct pipeline, personally delivered letters to Governor Andrew Cuomo Friday.

They are asking the governor from blocking the proposed pipeline to be built.

They want the governor to issue a moratorium on the construction of any new gas pipelines until a comprehensive health impact study is completed.

There has been strong opposition to the proposed pipeline in three New York counties and a compressed natural gas station proposed in Nassau.
