ROSEBURG, O.R. (NEWS10) – An outraged President Obama did not try to comfort the nation after the college shooting, saying thoughts and prayers are no longer enough.

Instead he called for tighter gun control – challenging all Americans across the political spectrum to press the elected leader to enact tougher laws.

The president said the nation has become numb to such shootings and the response has become routine. He called for changes in the nation’s gun laws.
