Weather causing problems around Capital Region

ALBANY, NY (NEWS 10) – Overnight rain has caused minor flooding and power outages around the Capital Region.

Traffic on all the major arteries around the area are slow moving due to the flooding on the roads.

Central Avenue is closed at Yardboro due to flooding.

Route 20 is also closed in both direction at Fuller Road due to flooding.

Power is out in Saratoga Springs to nearly 1,000 customers. Nearly 250 customers in Berne are experiencing outages and Rensselaer has 452 customers affected.

Power was restored at the Rensselaer School District.

Averill Park High School will close at 9:15 a.m. due to flooding.

Catskill CSD is closing all schools and cancelling after school activities. The high school and middle school will close at 10 a.m., the elementary school will close at 11 a.m.
