BEDFORD HILLS, NY (NEWS 10) – The woman at the center of the Dannemora Prison break has been assigned to a prison in Westchester County.

Joyce Mitchell was taken to Bedford Hills Correctional Facility Tuesday.

Mitchell was sentenced on Monday to seven years for aiding in the escape of convicted murderers David Sweat and Richard Matt.

Matt and Sweat were on the run for more than three weeks after the June escape.

Matt was killed by a Border Patrol agent, Sweat was captured a few days later.

Mitchell admitted to smuggling in hacksaw blades in frozen meat that the men later used to cut out of the prison and escape.
