Skidmore employee accused of stealing electronics

SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. (NEWS10) – A 47-year-old Nassau man has been charged with grand larceny and falsifying business records after police say he embezzled nearly $300,000 in electronics from Skidmore College.

According to police, Clifford Williams ordered the electronics while he was employed there from 2011 to 2015 with a college credit card.

Williams is accused of then taking the items to his home before altering the business records to hide their purchase.

Williams was arraigned in Saratoga Springs City Court and released on his own recognizance.

He is expected back in court on October 8.
