Colonie gas station robber identified, charged

COLONIE, N.Y. (NEWS10) – Police say they have identified a suspect involved in the robbery at a Sunoco on Exchange St. back in February.

Officials say on Monday, September 21 the Colonie Police Department arrested 42-year-old Lance Treadwell for an armed robbery that took place back in February at the Sunoco A+ Mini Mart.

treadwellIn August of 2015 the Albany Police Department developed information that Treadwell was involved in armed robberies in Albany and Colonie. As a result of their information and the subsequent investigation, he was charged.

Treadwell was arraigned in Colonie Justice Court and returned to the Albany County Correctional Facility where he was already being held on Albany PD’s charges.

He’s being charged for Robbery in the first degree and Petit Larceny, a misdemeanor.
