Clifton Park man accused of altering company computer files

CLIFTON PARK, N.Y. (NEWS10) – Police say a man has been arrested for hacking into a former employee’s computer.

State Police say 22-year-old Matthew Beighey, of Clifton Park who was arrested on Friday, September 19 for one count of Computer Trepass and Computer Tampering in the Third Degree.

It is alleged that Beighey gained unauthorized access to the computer server of his former employer and altered computer files.

Police say Beighey was released with an appearance ticket and he is scheduled to appear before the Town of Clifton Park Court on a later date.
