NY students die in upstate plane crash

MORRISVILLE, N.Y. (NEWS10) – Two New York college students are dead after a plane crashed in Madison County.

Colgate University officials have identified the students as freshmen Cathryn Depuy and Ryan Adams, both 19-years-old and from Connecticut. The two had just left the airport when their single-engine plane went down in Morrisville around 1 p.m. Sunday.

The Federal Aviation Administration is investigating the crash.

Colgate officials have postponed or canceled some of Monday’s campus events and a vigil is planned for 7:30 p.m.
