WATERFORD, N.Y. (NEWS10) — Police in Waterford responded to a fight on Front Street just before 11:30 p.m. Saturday night.
At the scene, officers saw one man pushed up against a fence with another man holding what appeared to be a knife to his head.
The officers came to realize it was actually a hand gun. The man, later identified as William Milligan, threw the weapon over the fence when he was ordered to drop it.
While he was being processed, officers found two bags of marijuana and 17 bags of what was alleged to be cocaine on the 25-year-old.
Milligan was charged with Criminal Possession of a Firearm, Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 3rd degree, and Criminal Possession of a controlled Substance in the 4th degree.
He was arraigned in Waterford court and sent to Saratoga County Jail with no bail.
