LOUDONVILLE, N.Y. (NEWS10) – The town of Colonie is hosting Harvest Fest, a free community event featuring entertainment, music and crafts Sunday afternoon from noon to 5 p.m. The event will be held at The Crossings in Colonie.
Some of the activities that will be available for families include free wagon and pony rides, the Albany Drum Circle (from noon to 1 p.m.), demonstrations from the Shaker High School Robotics Club (noon to 4 p.m.), clowns, face painting, balloon sculptures and caricatures.
Musicians Crooner Nick Coluccio, Big Radio and the “Pipe Kings” will perform at the Gazebo throughout the day.
Puppet shows with The Puppet People will be presented at 1 p.m. and 4:15 p.m. A magic show with Melvin the Magnificent is slated to kick off at 2 p.m.
The award winning Zucchini Brothers, also known as the Beatles of kids’ music, will perform at 3 p.m.
Food vendors will be Adirondack Kettle Korn, DC’s Pizza, Emack & Bolio’s, Fried Dough at Its Best, Guido’s Frozen Desserts, Greek on the Run, and Wagon Train Barbecue.
Officers from the Colonie Police Department’s Canine Unit will demonstrate how Colonie’s police dog, Vader, carries out his duties on the force.
The Crossings of Colonie is located at 580 Albany-Shaker Road in Loudonville.
