ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) – Almost one third of us will be traveling to our Labor Day destinations today.
According to a survey by TripAdvisor, 32% will be on the move, mostly driving.
Based on the results, Labor Day travel is up 11% compared to last year. 68% will drive, and 27% will fly.
Drivers face good news. According to AAA, pump prices continue to drop and are the lowest since the Labor Day weekend of 2004. The price of a gallon of gas is down 96 cents from this time last year.
Of those driving, 27% will drive between 101 and 200 miles, and 20A% will travel between 201 and 300.
The top destinations are: beach or ocean (28%), a city (23%), and a lake (12%)
