DELMAR, N.Y. (NEWS10) – We have an update on how much money a generous little girl made at her lemonade stand on Wednesday night for Officer Nick Colaneri.
According to Officer Colaneri’s father, he heard that Caidyn raised over $2,000 and her grandfather matched the amount, bringing the total up to over $4,000.
The Colaneri family says they are very grateful for her thoughts and everyone that took part in the event. On Wednesday night, Nick was on his way to the store to buy Caidyn a gift when he became dizzy and started sweating. He was then rushed to the ER at Samaritain Hospital.
Doctors say He had some heart issues from the chemotherapy affecting the blood cells and oxygen in his bloodstream and that he was probably dehydrated too.
Caidyn sent some lemonade to the hospital, which Nick and his family enjoyed beside him.
Since then, he has been released and is recovering at home.
