Crews in Scotia work to put out blaze overnight

SCOTIA, N.Y. (NEWS10) — Firefighters in Scotia worked fast to knock down a fire in a home on Second Street.

Crews were called to 101 Second St. just after 2:30 a.m. Tuesday morning. When they arrived they found the homeowner trying to put out the fire which had started in a room being used as an office. Flames and smoke could be seen from the window.

Crews were able to knock the flames down quickly and contain the fire to the area of the house where it started.

Officials say no one was hurt.
