SCHOHARIE, N.Y. (NEWS10) – Four years ago today, one of the biggest storms hit the Capital Region – causing massive destruction and claiming three lives.
Parts of Schoharie and the neighboring town of Middleburgh were unrecognizable.
On Friday the organization, ‘Schoharie Area Long Term,’ also known as SALT is celebrating the accomplishments of the valley’s reconstruction, while also drawing attention to the challenges that remain.
In Greene County, Prattsville was also hit very hard.
Later on Congressman Gibson will help celebrate the resilience and community spirit of the people of Prattsville following Hurricane Irene.
