Albany man pleads guilty to case of brutal dog abuse

ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) – According to authorities, an Albany man was sentenced Wednesday afternoon to eight months in Albany County Jail after brutally beating his dog.

The District Attorney’s office said that Fuller was charged after reportedly picking up the dog by its neck before proceeding to slap and punch the animal on Saturday, May 15. He also picked up the dog by its head before slamming the dog on the ground.  This incident occurred near Western Avenue and Thurlow Terrace.

Thirty-seven-year-old Larry Fuller will be required to relinquish his rights for the two dogs already in his possession and renounce his rights to own, reside with or possess animals in the future. He must also register on the Albany County Animal Abuser Registry.

Fuller pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor count of torturing or injuring animals by failure to provide proper sustenance.
