Troy shooter had criminal past

TROY, NY (NEWS 10) – The man who shot two police officers on Saturday had a long criminal history according to the New York State Department of Corrections.

Information obtained by News 10 shows that Thaddeus Faison served time in prison twice.

The first was more than three years for possession of a weapon, the second time was for criminal possession of a controlled substance.

Faison was not currently under supervision by the DOC.

The officers are currently being treated at Albany Medical Center.
