Troy Police officers continue recovery at Albany Med

ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) – Troy Police officers Joshua Comitale and Chad Klein continue to recover from their wounds Monday morning at Albany Medical Center.

They are both listed in stable condition.

They were injured after responding to a carjacking report in Lansingburgh Saturday night.

Gunfire broke out and a suspect, Thaddeus Faison, 39, was killed.

Comitale sustained gunshot wounds to both of his lower legs, and Klein sustained a gunshot wound to the shoulder.

Comitale is a seven-year member of the Troy Police Department. Klein is a 9-year member of the Troy Police Department and is an Air Force Reserve Veteran and served in the Gulf War.

According to police, Klein is anticipated to be released from the hospital soon. Officer Comitale is doing better and continues to improve.
