ALBANY, NY (NEWS 10) – An inmate of the Albany County Jail was attacked and slashed by another inmate last week.
According to the Sheriff, an inmate boarder from Brooklyn attacked the man with a small blade before repeatedly punching him.
After the assault it was discovered that Steven Sidbury, 23, had several small blades concealed on his person.
The victim was taken to Albany Memorial where he was treated for a laceration on his head.
The jail was placed on lock down and searched.
Sidbury is facing multiple counts of assault, possession of a weapon, and promoting contraband.
