Albany man charged with multiple robberies

ALBANY, NY (NEWS10) – Police say an Albany resident has been charged in connection with two robberies.

According to authorities, 20-year-old Justin Walker was arrested following an investigation by members of the Albany Police Department.

Walker, who police say was armed at the time, approached a man walking near Quail and Hamilton Street on Wednesday, August 19 and attempted to seize the victim’s personal property.

The victim, age 21, sustained an injury to the head and was subsequently transported to a local hospital for evaluation.

On the same night, Walker and two other suspects approached a 27-year-old female on Second Avenue and Benjamin Street with what appeared to be a handgun.  The victim complied before the suspects fled the scene.

Police say that some of the stolen property has been located.
