ROTTERDAM, N.Y. (NEWS10) – Police say two women have been arrested for being in possession of several different types of drugs.
On August 9 just before 11 p.m., State Police stopped a vehicle on Curry Road for a traffic violation. Both occupants of the vehicle were interviewed and during the investigation, troopers seized approximately 5 grams of crack-cocaine, about 45.5 grams of Xanax pills, approximately 222.1 grams of marijuana, and $5,901 in cash.
Police arrested the driver, 19-year-old Hayley Garrison of Schenectady and charged her with Criminal Possession Controlled Substance 3rd Degree, Criminal Possession Controlled Substance with Intent to sell and Criminal Possession Marijuana.
The passenger, 24-year-old Margarita Lopez, also of Schenectady was charged with Criminal Possession Controlled Substance 3rd Degree, Class B Felony, Criminal Possession Controlled Substance with Intent to Sell, Class B Felony and Criminal Possession Marijuana 4th Degree.
Both subjects were arraigned at the Town of Rotterdam Court and remanded to the Schenectady County Jail on no bail.
