MONROE, N.Y. – Police say they’ve arrested a pair who’s now facing heroin charges.
Police say On August 9 at approximately 6:40 p.m., State Police stopped a vehicle on Route 17 for multiple traffic violations.
Both occupants of the vehicle were interviewed and during the investigation, the female passenger stated she had heroin in her bra. Additional Troopers then seized approximately 367 grams of heroin, which is more than 1200 decks of heroin from inside the vehicle.
The driver, Andrew Mitchell, 40, Chester was charged with Criminal Possession Controlled Substance and was arraigned at the Town of Monroe Court and remanded to the Orange County Jail on no bail.
The passenger, Ashley Lovelace, 25 also of Chester was charged Criminal Possession Controlled Substance and was released on an appearance ticket returnable to the Town of Monroe Court on a later date.
