Teen arrested after ‘shots fired’ call

ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) – Police have arrested a 16-year old after responding to a call for shots fired.

Around 11:40 p.m. Saturday, Albany police officers responded to Orange Street and Henry Johnson Boulevard for a report of shots fired. Upon arrival, officers observed a male matching the description of the suspect fleeing the scene on foot.

Police stopped him in a vacant lot on the 300-block of Orange Street. He was identified as Michael Myrick, of Albany.

He was found in possession of a loaded 9mm handgun, according to police.

Myrick was charged with Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Second Degree. He was arraigned in Albany City Criminal Court and remanded to the Albany County Jail.
