ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) – The grace period is over for Albany drivers.
As of midnight, if you run a red light at one of the two intersections where cameras are now installed, you will face a fine.
The first cameras went up at two intersections: Northern Boulevard and Albany Shaker Road, and Washington Avenue and Quail Street just 10 days ago. Since then, drivers caught on camera running the red lights were issued warnings.
Now, the fines shall begin. Anyone who is caught will be subject to a $50 fine.
All violations will be reviewed by an officer before being sent out.
