Investigators work to shut down drug activity in Fulton Co.

GLOVERSVILLE, N.Y. (NEWS10) – Police say a local drug ring has been shut down.

Officials say five people have been sentenced to State Prison in Fulton County Court after a nine month investigation into drug activity throughout the area. The investigation was conducted by the Johnstown Police Department, the NYSP Community Narcotics Enforcement Team, the Gloversville Police Department and the District Attorney’s Office.

Sales were made to an undercover officer throughout Gloversville.

Authorities say Shaquille Grayton a/k/a “Rich” or “Ja” of Thompson Street in Schenectady, pleaded guilty to Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in full satisfaction of his indictment.  Police say he will be sentenced on August 12 to 3 years in State Prison with post release supervision. He is ordered to pay $200 in restitution to the NYSP.

Officials say Kenneth McMillan a/k/a “KK” of Washington Street in Gloversville pleaded guilty to Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance in full satisfaction of his indictment. Police say he was sentenced on July 15 to 3 years in State Prison with post release of 1.5 years.  He was ordered to pay $250 in restitution to the NYSP.

Authorities say Alexander Caballero-Guity a/k/a “Sherm” of Paulding Street in Schenectady pleaded guilty to Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance in full satisfaction of his indictment.   Police say he is scheduled for sentencing on September 22 and will receive 3 ½ years in State Prison with post release supervision.  He is ordered to pay $300 in restitution to the NYSP.

Officials say Luellen Sudges a/k/a “LuLu” of Woodside Avenue in Gloversville pleaded guilty on to Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance in full satisfaction of her indictment. Police say she was sentenced on July 8 to 3 years in State Prison and 1 year post release supervision.  She was ordered to pay $200 in restitution to the NYSP.

Lastly, authorities say Felicia Pittman a/k/a “Fifi” of Burr Street in Gloversville pleaded guilty to Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance in full satisfaction of her indictment. Police say she was sentenced on June 25 to 3 years in State Prison with 2 years post release supervision.  She was ordered to pay $160 in restitution to the NYSP.

“The arrest, prosecution and conviction of this drug ring represents a lot of hard work and dedication on behalf of the Fulton County Drug and Violent Crime Taskforce.  This group was selling drugs on City streets and in City neighborhoods. Drug dealing significantly effects the quality of life of our community,” said Louise Sira, Fulton County DA.
