LaGuardia Airport getting a facelift

NEW YORK, N.Y. (NEWS10) — New York travelers can look forward to a major airport facelift.

Governor Cuomo has unveiled plans to rebuild LaGuardia Airport from the ground up, for $4 billion.

Cuomo says the money will come from a public-private partnership. The first phase of the plan will start next year. Cramped, outdated terminals will be a thing of the past, with a new unified terminal.

The re-design will more than double the operation space for airliners and the airport will be easier to get to by subway and ferry.
