WATERVLIET, NY (NEWS 10) – The school district where Joshua Spratt was assigned as a resource officer has released a statement on his arrest.
“This is obviously a source of great concern to us. More details will be released as they become available,” the statement said. “School resource officers are not school district employees: they are assigned on an annual basis by the Watervliet Police Department.”
According to the statement, Spratt was assigned to the school from September of 2013 until last month.
Spratt was arrested under a sealed indictment Saturday. No charges have been announced.
