SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. (NEWS10) – Race fans donned their best headware Sunday as the three-day “Hats Off to Saratoga” festival culminated with the 24th annual Hat Contest.
Participants turned out to compete in three distinct categories: Uniquely Saratoga, Fashionably Saratoga, and for the younger patrons, Kreative Kids.
Julie Potter of Pattersonville, NY, was crowned the winner of the most celebrated category, Uniquely Saratoga, with a grand prize of a $100 Hat Sational by DEI gift card.
Kim Nikolaus of Hagaman, NY, was named the most fashionable in the Fashionably Saratoga category, and also won a $100 gift card.
And Olivia Grove, 9, of Dunwoody, GA, was the most stylish younger among the Kreative Kids. She took away the $75 gift card.
The contest was emceed by Heather Kovar of New10 ABC.
The summer meet in Saratoga Springs continues through Labor Day, September 7, and News10 ABC will be there to keep you posted.
