RENSSELAER, N.Y. (NEWS10) – Another meeting is happening in Rensselaer County on the proposed natural gas pipeline in that area.
The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission will host the second “scoping” meeting at Birch Hill on celebration way in Castleton. It starts at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday night.
The meeting is meant to provide homeowners who live near the proposed path of the pipeline with a chance to comment on the proposal.
This pipeline has met a lot of opposition. The county legislature voted against the project earlier this year, citing environmental concerns.
